Meter Inside/Outside Differences

The inside meter is the meter of record. Any discrepancies between the inside meter and outside reading device will be billed to the account. It is a good practice to compare both readings periodically in order to ensure the accuracy of the outside register.

Actual/Estimated Reads

If the “Bill Type”’ is listed as Actual, this means that the current read on your bill is the Actual Read from your meter. If the “Bill Type” is listed as Estimated, Other or Manual, this means that your Actual read was not available and the current read on your bill has been Estimated.  Please call our Utility Billing Department to obtain the reason for the estimation and to determine whether or not a meter repair appointment is necessary. There is no charge for meter repair appointments.
