Video Gaming
No license shall be issued unless the applicant holds a valid class A-1, A-2, A-3, B-2, C, D, E, F-2, G, or N-2 retail liquor license.
Classification Types:
A-1: Tavern or Bar with no food
A-2: Restaurant (no food revenue requirement)
A-3: Video Gaming Cafe
B-2: Gas Station/Convenience Store
C: Restaurant (50% food revenue requirement)
D: Beer and Wine only for on-premises consumption
E: Fraternal Society/Private Club
F-2: Gas Station/Convenience Store beer and wine only
G: Golf Course
N-2: Winery/Brewery/Brewpub Retailer

There shall be no more than fifteen (15) Class A-3 gaming licenses. Effective February 6, 2024, all new Class A-3 gaming licenses must be a minimum of one (1) mile from all other Class A-3 gaming license holders.

There shall be no more than eleven (11 ) Class B-2 or F-2 gaming licenses. Effective February 6, 2024, all new Class B-2 or F-2 gaming license must be a minimum of one (1) mile from all other B-2 or F-2 gaming license holders.
Ancillary and Not-for-Profit (NFP) establishments located in the Downtown TIF District must be in business for a minimum of six (6) months before obtaining a video gaming license.
Ancillary and Not-for-Profit (NFP) establishments, not located in the Downtown TIF District, must be in business for a minimum of one (1) year before applying for a video gaming license.
Convenience stores, liquor stores, and tobacco stores are prohibited from applying for a gaming license in the Village of Oswego.
