Oswego Police Arrest Driver for DUI Following Three-Vehicle Injury Crash

Arrestee: HATCH, Laura E, 44 YOA, of the 600 block of Ebony Dr, Oswego

Charges: DUI X2 (Class A Misdemeanor); Following Too Closely; Failure to Avoid Accident

At approximately 8:12 a.m., Monday, May 11, 2026, Oswego Police were dispatched to a three-vehicle crash near the intersection of Wolf Road and Emblem Circle.

The preliminary investigation indicates a Nissan Pathfinder was traveling eastbound on Wolf Road when it struck a Nissan Rogue that was stopped in traffic. The impact caused the Rogue to strike a Mitsubishi Outlander that was also stopped in traffic. All three vehicles were eastbound.

The driver of the Rogue, a 39-year-old female sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the Outlander, a 29-year-old female, and a newborn passenger were not injured.

The driver of the Nissan Pathfinder, Laura E. HATCH of Oswego, was arrested for driving under the influence. She was taken into custody and transported to the Oswego Police Department, where she was booked and processed. She also was issued citations for following too closely and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Hatch was not injured in the crash and has a pending court date of June 9, 2026.
