Oswego Police News Release - Arrest

Arrestee: GONZALEZ, Damian A, 18 YOA, 2400 block of Concord Dr. S, Montgomery

Charges: Aggravated Battery X2 (Class 3 Felony), Criminal Sexual Abuse (Class 4 Felony)

Oswego Police arrested 18-year-old Damian A. GONZALEZ of Montgomery for an incident that occurred at a school in Oswego on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 4209 Route 71. Oswego Police were called after a student made physical contact with a staff member. After completing the investigation into the incident, Oswego Police obtained approval for felony charges from the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office. Gonzalez was charged with two counts of aggravated battery as he is alleged to have made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature to a school staff member. He was also charged with criminal sexual abuse as he is alleged to have made the contact for the purpose of his sexual arousal. Gonzalez was arrested and taken into custody on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Oswego Police Department. Gonzalez was also arrested on a failure to appear warrant. Gonzalez was booked and processed at the Oswego Police Department and transported to the Kendall County Jail for a pre-trial hearing on January 15, 2026.
