On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Oswego Police were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Spires Drive after a female reported a domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers heard screaming coming from the garage. Officers made contact with a male subject who was initially cooperative, however he subsequently slammed the front door closed and refused to allow officers to speak with the female caller or allow her to leave the residence. Additional screaming was then heard. Due to exigent circumstances, officers breached the front door of the residence and took the male, Lawrence L. Bradley, into custody. Bradley was arrested for obstructing a police officer and transported to the Oswego Police Department. The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office approved an additional charge of unlawful restraint. Bradley was booked and processed at the Oswego Police Department and transported to the Kendall County Jail pending a detention hearing on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
