CHARGES:     Driving Under the Influence (Class A Misdemeanor), Driving Under the Influence with BAC .08 or more (Class A Misdemeanor), Speeding 35+ Over the Speed Limit (Class A Misdemeanor)

At approximately 9:46 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, Oswego Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle speeding on Orchard Road near Galena Road. The driver, Raul E. Silva-Alvarez, a 30-year-old man from Aurora, was arrested for driving under the influence and taken into custody. Silva-Alvarez was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and speeding 35 mph or more over the speed limit. He was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Silva-Alvarez was transported to the Oswego Police Department for processing and was released with a pending court date of December 1, 2025.
