Man Arrested After Traffic Stop

ARRESTEE:   MCDOUGLE, Marcus B, 44 YOA, 4000 blk of Cherry Rd, Oswego

CHARGES:     Unlawful Possession of Weapon (Firearm) by Felon (Class 3 Felony); Speeding 26+ MPH Over the Limit (Class B Misdemeanor)

On Friday, July 18, 2025, Oswego Police arrested 44-year-old Marcus B. McDougle, of Oswego, after a traffic stop on Collins Road near Buckskin Drive. At approximately 9:49 a.m., McDougle was stopped for speeding, traveling 61-mph in a 30-mph zone. During the traffic stop, it was learned McDougle was wanted on a warrant out of Kendall County. Additionally, a loaded firearm was found in McDougle’s possession. McDougle was arrested, taken into custody, and transported to the Oswego Police Department. The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s approved a felony charge of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. McDougle was also charged with speeding in excess of 26 mph and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He was booked and processed at the Oswego Police Department and transported to the Kendall County Jail for a pre-trial hearing. McDougle has a pending court date of August 19, 2025.
