Blue Envelope Program Open House

Join the Oswego Police Department for our Blue Envelope Program Open House!

The Blue Envelope Program is designed to help make interactions with first responders safer and less stressful for individuals who are neurodivergent, including those on the autism spectrum.

This open house is an opportunity for individuals who may benefit from the program, along with their families and caregivers, to learn how it works and ask questions in a comfortable, supportive environment.

During the event, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about the Blue Envelope Program and how to participate
  • Ask questions during a Q&A session with Oswego Police officers
  • Observe and participate in mock traffic stops to better understand what to expect during a law enforcement encounter

While the Blue Envelope Program is commonly used during traffic stops, the envelope can also be helpful in other situations where first responders may need important information to better communicate and assist an individual.

Whether you're considering participating in the program or simply want to learn more, we invite you to join us. We look forward to helping build confidence through education, understanding, and communication.
