Senior Discounts/Rebates for Utilities
Senior citizens (age 65 and older) in Oswego may receive discounts on their Village of Oswego utility bills. A Trash Discount and Utility Tax Rebate is available to all seniors 65 years of age and older simply by coming in to Village Hall (113 Main Street, Oswego, IL) with proof of your age (drivers license or ID) and signing up.
Water and sewer discounts of 50% may be available to seniors age 65 and older who qualify. In order to qualify, you must currently own property in Oswego and currently be signed up for the Kendall County Senior Citizens Tax Assessment Freeze. If you are receiving the Tax Assessment Freeze, please bring in a copy of your last property tax bill and your ID to Village Hall and fill out the senior rate application form.
