Come to a small business workshop this spring with Oswegrow!
Whether you’re an established business owner, or thinking about embarking on a new business idea, there’s something for you at an Oswegrow workshop this spring.
Oswegrow offers technical assistance to entrepreneurs at all levels. By attending a free workshop, you’ll get expert advice on a variety of topics, from branding and marketing to business plans and funding. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect to other resources available to you as an Oswego entrepreneur, including market research and one-on-one mentorship with business professionals who have been in your shoes.

Are You Getting a Return on Investment on Your Brand?
Learn to build or rebuild your brand. From launching new products to positioning, advertising and promoting existing offerings, you’ll learn how all the pieces fit together to build a cohesive brand that appeals to customers and helps strengthen your bottom line. This workshop will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 21.
Choosing a Business Opportunity That’s Right for You
There’s a dizzying array of options for would-be entrepreneurs considering going into business for themselves. Before taking the plunge, learn a little more about different business structures and formats, including brick-and-mortar stores, e-commerce platforms, franchises, affiliate marketing, and multi-level marketing. Harriet Parker from the Illinois Small Business Development Center will unravel the options and help you discover which kinds of business opportunities might be right for you. This workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26.
Perfect Your Pitch
Prepare yourself to present a stellar elevator pitch by gaining confidence in your presentation skills and conquering your content. We’ll cover tips and tricks for impactful interactions and how to cultivate the most crucial components to translate your passion into a pitch. Learn to keep it short and sweet, but still make it you. Presented by Cori Veverka of the Oswegoland Park District, this workshop will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 18.
Visual Communication: A picture is worth a thousand words — almost.
Is your digital marketing click-less? Is your print outreach falling flat? Learn how to up the visual ante of your marketing efforts. Learn to budget your marketing dollars, capture your audience’s attention, and conquer digital and print communications for 2019. This workshop will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30.
Oswegrow is a partnership between the Oswego Public Library District, the Village of Oswego, and Fox Valley SCORE that provides opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs to learn and grow their businesses in Oswego.
