Free Fall Clean-up Week
The Village of Oswego, through its contracted waste hauler, Groot Industries, provides a clean-up day each spring and fall for residents free of charge.
This year’s fall clean-up week is Monday, Nov. 13, through Friday, Nov. 17, 2017.
Groot Industries will collect additional household waste, yard waste and bulk items for all Village residents from Monday, Nov. 13 through Friday, Nov. 17, on your regularly scheduled garbage day.
To be collected, yard waste, including grass and shrub clippings, plants, and small branches and twigs, must be placed in 30-gallon kraft paper yard waste bags. Yard waste in plastic bags will not be accepted. No sticker is required for this collection.
Bulk items will also be collected curbside without a sticker.
As always appliances, electronics, and televisions are prohibited from curbside collection. For information on how to properly recycle these potentially hazardous items, including a curbside collection appointment, contact Groot directly at 877-775-1200.
All additional household waste, yard waste and bulk items must be placed along with your regular garbage and recycling at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regular garbage day.
For more information, contact the Village of Oswego Public Works at 630-554-3242.
