Oswego Launches #GoOswego Regional Branding Campaign
The Village of Oswego is proud to announce the launching of #GoOswego, a new initiative to attract residents and visitors to Oswego, and to accelerate local economic development. #GoOswego’s aim is to build Oswego’s image across Chicagoland as a forward thinking, business friendly regional entertainment destination where residents and visitors gather in an engaging natural environment.
The #GoOswego initiative is centered on our new website at www.GoOswego.org, which will be promoted throughout the summer with billboards and social media marketing. This new website highlights exciting special events and other fun things to do in Oswego. Whether taking a stroll through charming downtown or venturing out to over 300 acres of wetlands, prairies and greenways, #GoOswego will serve as a guide for all there is to see and do in Oswego.
The #GoOswego initiative kicks off at the Oswegoland Park District’s PrairieFest this weekend; show your community pride by stopping by the Village of Oswego booth to pick up our new #GoOswego swag!
The #GoOswego initiative includes a new regional branding logo used to market all of Oswego’s special events, including those sponsored by the Village and other community organizations. The new marketing logo and website will also be aimed at attracting new residents and businesses to Oswego. Phase two of the website rollout will include more information on shopping, dining, attractions and overnight stays.
Over the last year, a team of Village Staff and Board Members worked with an expert consulting team, Business District, Inc., to determine our regional brand identity. The goal of the team was to set Oswego apart from our competitors and surrounding communities; enhancing marketplace visibility and investor awareness; and facilitating social and professional connections. In other words, we want to attract more people to live, work and play in Oswego. From that, the #GoOswego campaign was born.
