Let it pour! Volunteers needed for Wine on the Fox
Wine on the Fox, presented by john greene Realtor, returns to Oswego on Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5, 2019, and volunteers are needed to help make the event a success.
Proceeds from Wine on the Fox benefit other family-friendly events in the Oswego community throughout the year, including Fourth of July fireworks, Movies in the Park, and much more.
Volunteers are needed for three-hour shifts to help pour wine, sell tickets, set up and tear down, check gates and more. As a thank-you for their time, volunteers get a commemorative glass and wristband, and either free food vouchers or exclusive discounts on wine packages at the event.
To sign up, visit https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0b49ada628a0fd0-volunteer1 and pick out your time slot. Volunteers handling alcohol must be 21 or older to participate. All volunteers must submit a release form and safety check the day of the event.
In addition, community organizations in Oswego can promote their organization and earn donations by offering volunteer time from their members. For more information about this opportunity, contact Community Engagement Coordinator Julie Hoffman at 630-551-2344 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Wine on the Fox on dry ground at Village Hall
Wine on the Fox, presented by john greene Realtor, will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, at Village Square Park, adjacent to Oswego Village Hall, 100 Parkers Mill.
The event is expected to bring heavier-than-usual traffic to downtown Oswego, especially along Washington Street and at the intersection of Route 31 and 34.
Event grounds at Village Hall, 100 Parkers Mill, are expected to be dry, but rainfall over the past several days has resulted in changes to available parking for this event. Free parking will now be available for Wine on the Fox in two lots:
- On the grassy property immediately west of Oswego Village Hall. Enter from Washington Street. Conditions in some parts of this lot may be wet. Look for instructions from volunteers to avoid wet areas.
- On the gravel lot at the former Alexander Lumberyard, 59 S. Adams Street, thanks to our parking sponsor, Shodeen Group. Please note that construction fencing will be up on this property, and there will be just one entrance/exit. The Oswego Police Department will be assisting pedestrians across Route 31.
The Uber/Lyft rideshare drop-off point for this event is along Washington Street west of Route 31. Instruct your driver to look for the ‘Rideshare Drop-off’ signs, and do not allow your driver to block traffic on Route 31.
