Every two years since 2016, the Village of Oswego has contracted with an outside research firm to conduct a Community Survey, designed to gather information and improve existing programs and services and help determine long-range planning and decisions in Oswego. The information collected will also be used to help Village staff better understand and more effectively respond to the needs of the community.
In the most recent survey, conducted in fall 2018, 88% of residents surveyed who had an opinion indicated that the Village of Oswego is either an “excellent” or a “good” place to live. Another 88% indicated that the village is an “excellent” or a “good” place to raise children. Fire protection, library services, ambulance services and the overall feeling of safety also all received high levels of “excellent” and “good” responses.
